Join the Five9 Tools and Monitoring team for an exciting opportunity to play a role in maintaining Five9's Cloud Call Center Services and Application Delivery. The goal of the Tools and Monitoring team is to provide the Cloud Operations team the tools needed to maintain the highest possible availability of the Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create / maintain Java servlets that empower teams to troubleshoot issues to our platform
  • Create / maintain Python web applications using Django
  • Create / maintain Python scripts that collect monitoring data and task automation
  • Work with other engineers to containerize and deploy applications
  • Perform routine maintenance on our various monitoring platforms

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of Java Web Development on Apache Tomcat
  • 2+ years of Python development using Django
  • Advanced knowledge of git / gitlab
  • Advanced knowledge of setting up Highly Available applications using technologies like load balances (nginx)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of web services development (REST, SOAP, Servlets, JSP, Spring)
  • Knowledge of multithreading concepts

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Operating python and java applications in docker / kubernetes
  • Intermediate skills on Tomcat administration and scaling
  • AWS / GCP experience
  • Understand and experience working with messaging systems (Kafka, Redis)
  • Understanding of MySQL databases
